Life is quite busy – I’m working on 2 side projects and have resumed studying for the MCTS cert that I hope to complete in mid-June. One project is a lightweight solution for Frazer UMC’s summer VBS classes I’m calling BuddyUp. From the VBS registration site backend dump, the registrants need to be paired with buddies and fit into classrooms with varying sizes. Last year they used a lot of Excel wrangling to get the sorting and reporting done, which I hope to replace with a “one-click” solution using SQLite. My other project is setting up tfsworship.com for The Freedom Sound band. I’m no web designer, so I’ve steered them toward using a slick WP theme called Pendulum to satisfy their requirements for picture galleries, twitter/FB/blog socialization, bio/mission statements, etc.
